Looking to play an MMORPG without having to download it? Well look no further than MMOHut's No Download Browser Based MMORPG Games section. Browser Based MMORPGs can be quite fun and the best part is that they don't require a download and can run smoothly on most computers, even older ones! There are so many free browser MMORPGs out there, so gamers have a lot of choice. We currently only have a few browser based MMORPGs reviewed, but we'll be reviewing and adding more to the site often, so make sure to keep checking back. We only review the best browser games, so every game on this list is either well known or a quality title. There are just too many browser games out there for us to possibly review them all, but we will review as many as we can..

Deepolis is an interesting browser MMORPG that takes place below the ocean. In the dystopian future of Deepolis, human civilization is driven under the sea where three factions have sprung up and vie for domination. While there are plenty of quests to complete, Deepolis is very much an open-ended game with a strong emphasis on player interaction, particularly through the open PvP environment. It’s no secret that BigPoint borrowed heavily from previous titles (particularly Dark Orbit and SeaFight) when fashioning Deepolis, but the game does have many unique features including the ability to dive deeper underwater on a ‘z’ axis. The three available factions in Deepolis are:

http://mmohut.com/wp-content/gallery/fusionfall/fusion-fall-front-view.jpg

Nauts - The descendants of Artic researchers, the Nauts are a neutral faction who have the ability to freely trade at the stations of rival factions. Their submarines are the most well-balanced in Deepolis.

http://images.mmorpgfreeonlinegames.com/images/shot/water/86/1.jpg

Scion - The Scion are known for their advanced defensive systems. Their subs have more room for armor plating than the vessels of other factions. While Scion pilots can navigate near Nauts stations, the Jafnhar will fire on sight.

Jafnhar - The most militarized faction in Deepolis, their ships have plenty of storage space to accomdate Sonic Cannons. Jafnhar vessels are not welcome at Scion stations but can trade freely with the neutral Nauts. Jafnhar members trace their ancestry back to Russian and Japanese military officials.

With the success of the last installation of World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment is now preparing to release another fine addition to the ever growing and evolving Warcraft universe: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.

http://www.slipperybrick.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wow-sb.jpg

Warcraft as a strategy game began with the PS platform in the nineties, followed by the equally successful installation of the PC version which was done away beautifully with two expansion packs. With the expansion pack Frozen Throne for the PC platform, Blizzard Entertainment continues the story with the latest installation for the MMORPG version of the game.

World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role playing game, which integrates the already existing Warcraft universe (environments, story lines, characters) with the perspective of a player. Thousands of player from around the globe can now get in on the action as they battle with each other and formidable worlds that World of Warcraft offers.

Wrath of the Lich King as of now has not been released to the mass market. According to the techs at Blizzard Entertainment, the expansion pack is still undergoing final revamps before final release in the US and most of Europe. However, this won’t stop us in describing the exciting new features of the game- which are now hot potatoes for people who can’t wait to get their hands on the assuredly collector’s edition WoW: Wrath of the Lich King coming their way.

Irth Online is a virtual world in which players role play characters in a free form, fantasy-based storyline. Players join Irths history at a period when a fragile truce exists among the far flung civilizations of the snowy Arcadians in the north, the southeastern swamps and marshes of Morbus, and the southwestern tropical region of Mezoteks - and determine the course of history for each civilization.

The persistent world environment of Irth Online features an open ended skill system. Players may learn any skill offered in the game without facing limitations of race or class. Irth Online's advancement system has a unique skill-over-time feature, allowing all characters to enjoy adventures together, regardless of experience level.

Player battle and fighting include PvE (Player vs. Environment) and PvP (Player vs. Player). Also included either at launch (or shortly thereafter) will be instance-based thievery, looting, and justice, as well as the ability to fully explore, travel, or wage war on the ground, on the sea, and in the air. Opportunities for non-warfare gameplay are also offered, along with safe areas for peaceable players.

Doing search engine optimization (SEO) is just like playing a massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) – without the spiffy graphics. SEO's concept, in comparison to MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, Anarchy Online, Lineage, etc. are so similar. This is coming from a MMORPG player whom has gone from one game to another. My previous game was Anarchy Online (a couple years back). Today, I am addicated to the game of SEO.

http://images.mmorpgfreeonlinegames.com/images/shot/water/9/27.jpg

The World
In SEO, the world consists of the major search engines: Google, MSN, Yahoo. The smaller worlds (Ask.com, AltaVista, AlltheWeb, etc.) struggle to gain more interest and popularity with the players. They have yet to offer enough incentive or loot to play there yet.

The Character
Playing the game of SEO, your character is simply you playing in the online virtual world.

http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/9513/123ad6.jpg

The Levels
Leveling up in MMORPGs is like moving up the ranking positions in the search engines. In order to level up, you must participate in battles and gain more experience points. You can also gain experience points by completing missions and crafting. Once you are at a high level, it is much easier to generate a good amount of loot.

http://images.mmosite.com/photo/2007/04/17/9_large8R4b7V57s1.jpg

The Weapons
Your websites are your weapons. If you have to fight in battles, you will need a weapon. Your websites help you fight your way through directories, back links, etc.

http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/1799/ageofarmor07081601a1187bd5.jpg

The Battles
In the MMORPG, you usually battle against other characters or auto-generated monsters. SEO, you are battling against other websites using the same search term. Competing for that keyword is the actual battle.

The Missions
Completing missions in SEO is relatively simple. All you have to do to complete the missions is get listed in directories, get back links, etc. You gain more experience points each time you complete a mission.

Sony Online Entertainment invites gamers from all over the world to once again visit the beautiful but dangerous landscapes of Norrath. Yes, Everquest II, the sequel to one of the most highly acclaimed and commercially successful massively multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG) of all time, is finally upon us. New adventures await. New perils hide in the shadows. New experiences can be enjoyed. And new prizes can be claimed.

http://images.mmorpgfreeonlinegames.com/images/shot/water/172/3.jpg

Here are some tactics you could employ to gain prominence in the lovely and lethal world of Everquest II.

http://www.gossipgamers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/78541370.jpg

1. When playing a scout character, regardless of race, always remember to keep your distance. Your melee skills are pretty non-existent, so you have to hit enemies from afar. Take advantage of Everquest II’s 3-D terrain. Look for an elevated structure near spawning points and snipe at monsters from there. The elevation will give your projectiles additional damage as well, as elevation is factored in with this MMORPG system.

http://www.gameogre.com/topfreemmorpg.jpg

2. When playing as a mage or as a priest, try your best to partner with a fighter or other advanced melee characters. They could serve as your “tanks,” that is, as characters who would hit a monster first and divert its attention while you kill the monster with your meager power. In due time, as is the case with other MMORPG systems, your mage or your priest would level up their intelligence and you’d possess fantastic magic skills. Every party needs a mage and a priest, and you could expect your powered-up character to be in high demand when he gains a sufficient amount of levels.

http://www.fmmorpg.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/heroonline.jpg

Lord of the Rings: This is a huge online game that spans across the magical and fictional land of Tolkien. Based loosely on the books and the films, you can play a number of characters such as hunter, a hobbit, an elf or other such characters. In line with many fantasy games that are MMORPG's, Conan includes many features such as healing, spells, fighting and quests to level your characters up throughout the game. One thing that Conan has that others do not feature as much is blood and gore. You can behead your enemies in frighteningly realistic graphics, stab them repeatedly and kill them brutality. You may also see a few naked or topless people run past you, (in character form of course!).

Guild recruiters cannot be shy. Post in recruiting forums, erect a guild Web site, use in game recruiting tools, such as those in EQ2, these activities all promote your guild and you probably should avail yourself of them. However the fastest, cheapest, easiest most effective way to get new members for your guild is to simply ask in a general chat channel.

http://image.gamebase.com.tw/wiki/wiki_pc/updatePIC_content/7375_20070814111902.jpg

Before You Hit the Chat Channels You Need to Know...

...what benefit people will receive by joining your guild and at what cost? Do you provide help with grouping? Do you help people level? Are you a PvP guild? If so what kind of PvP guild? If you provide groups for members is joining guild groups required? If you help people level, is helping other members required? If you are an MMORPG PvP guild, does this mean you don’t do content or that you do organized battlegrounds?

http://images.hangame.co.kr/hangame/r2/gallery_14_l.JPG

Once you know the major benefit of joining your guild, create your message around that. Know the cost however, because you’ll need new members to understand that if you want to retain them…more about that in my next article for PlayerVox.

To construct your message take the big focus on your major benefit and combine it with one of two possible actions you want the interested party to take:

http://www.gameogre.com/rappelz2.jpg

1. PST for membership info. Contact you immediately in (PST for Please Send Tell is fairly universal).

Be prepared to answer questions and potentially talk to multiple people at the same time. I like to either use a text file to cut and paste common answers, or setup macros when available.

With the advent of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG), a lot of people have suffered from MMORPG over-addiction, so much so that some of them have slowly confused the real world with the fantasy environment of the games they’re playing. I kid you not! This seeming merger of truth and fiction is not restricted to costume plays (or cosplays), sci-fi conventions or game launches. It has extended to everyday life. And if you have been playing a particular MMORPG for hours upon hours, each and every day, you might be suffering from MMORPG over-addiction yourself!

How would you know?

Here are 10 signs that can be observed if ever you have too much MMORPG adrenaline in your system.

1. Whenever you want to buy something, you think in terms of gold instead of dollars. Gold, of course, is the unit of currency in most MMORPG game worlds.

2. Whenever you accomplish a significant deed, you subconsciously expect to level up, coupled with a sound in the background to inform the world of such a feat. MMORPG programs reward players with experience points which can be used to increase their levels.

http://images.mmosite.com/bbs/upload/2009/02/16/1ba3af7f4e834c8c514eb657f5e588f0.jpg

3. You find yourself speaking in Old English. Quite a number of MMORPG systems require the players to role play their characters as if they’re living in a fantastical, medieval world. This includes conversing in Old English. So hear ‘ye, hear ‘ye, hear ‘ye, if thou hath been speaking the tongue of ages yore, thou hath been possessed by the soul of thy machinated character.

Just a decade back, multi-player games were just new and were not thought to be so happening. These shooting games drawn everybody’s attention in just recent years but in these years, they have occupied everybody’s brain. Few years back, if one wanted to play some role-playing with somebody, either it was to get a bunch of friends together for some stuffs or just keep mum and watch TV!

Nowadays, shooting games have created milestones in online gaming zone. Nowadays, one can play with the players all across the world and they are just innumerable. No matter, when and where you want them, all you need to have is computer and Internet connection. Shooting games, especially MMORPG genre is ready to serve you 24X7.

Some of the people consider MMORPGs – massively multi-player online role-playing games as a lifestyle and just more than a game. Getting into this another world of shooting game is an excellent and extravaganza experience. There are many favors MMORPG do to a player involved in it and two of the most looked after things are mentioned below –

For the uninitiated, MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. The basic premise of these epic online games is that players from around the world converge on servers to do battle against computer driven opponents and often each other. Each server can hold on average up to 5,000 players at a time. It is then no wonder that these servers become home to a unique subculture of players who eat, sleep and breathe these fantasy worlds - sometimes to the detriment of everything else in their life. Countless News articles tell of players whom have forsaken family, friends, jobs and sometimes even their own lives to continue to play. Big companies continue to make money while people’s lives are turned upside down by the constant attention that these types of games demand of their players. So what keeps players coming back every day and why do they pay for the privilege?

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/dragon-ball-online-pc-screenshot-big.jpg

As an ex-MMORPG enthusiast I can tell you that the hooks for players are many and varied. For the casual player the level increase and the character statistic boosts associated are your first traps. Knowing that you are only a few hours away from being better at fighting the monsters that haunt your online existence is a very good reason to keep playing. Who wouldn’t want to be 10 points stronger for only a few hours work?

http://www.freemmorpglist.com/pics/foto_hero_online.jpg

The problem with this is that the games designers are always one step ahead of you. Now that you can easily kill the monsters you were struggling with only moments before you leveled up, they are worth virtually no experience points. This means that in order to get to your next level, you will have to go out and find some harder monsters to kill. To someone on the outside of the trap, it is painfully obvious what is happening here - you really haven’t progressed at all. Then why do people keep playing?

http://www.gameogre.com/reviewdirectory/upload/ROSE%20Online.jpg

Equipment drops. While you are fighting those creatures to get more experience points to go up levels to fight more monsters, they have a chance to drop useful equipment each time you kill them. Unlike the leveling process which is very linear, good equipment can drop at any time but quite often doesn’t. It seems that no matter what equipment drops, there will always be something bigger or better that the player is waiting for. Again, the onlooker can see that this is nothing more than a form of gambling. Granted the cost is only slight in real dollar terms, but the players’ time is the commodity that is spent in this transaction.

When role-playing games were first introduced in the mid-1970s, they had a relatively small market, just small groups of high school students meeting in the cafeteria with pencils and dice in hand. Today, with the increased popularity of computers, participation in role-playing games has exploded with literally millions of people all over the world and from all walks of life enjoying the excitement of role-playing games.

Role Playing Game Basics

Simply put, a role-playing game is any game where players take the roles of fictional characters and organize to tell a story together. Of course, this is an admittedly broad definition. Nonetheless, it captures the idea that storytelling is what role-playing games are really all about.

http://images.mmorpgfreeonlinegames.com/images/shot/water/169/1.jpg

Not surprisingly, given how broad the above definition is, and the natural flexibility of role-playing games, there are many different types of role-playing games covering a host of genres. The first role-playing games centered around fantasy stories with wizards and dragons, knights and elves roaming across of mythical landscape. Role-playing games quickly expanded to include science fiction stories with aliens and ray guns. Today, role-playing games centered around historical situations, espionage, military actions, and horror can be found.

http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/9569/hera0tg.jpg

Different Role Playing Games

There are three broad types of role-playing games: traditional role-playing games, live action role-playing games, and computer role-playing games.

In traditional role-playing games, participants sit around a table and act out the story verbally, with one person taking on a role similar to a narrator. Usually dice are used to determine the outcome of specific actions.

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, or MMORPG, are quite the rave these days. There is something truly fascinating about immersing yourself in a world of mythical wonders and high fantasy. You could be the knight who would brave the darkest forests and the most perilous terrains to slay the dragon and lay claim to untold riches. Or you could be the mage who would become the most powerful sorcerer across the known world. Or perhaps the dark lord who will emerge from the shadows to rule the continents. With MMORPG, you could be anyone, and anything, you want to be. The limits are only bounded by your imagination.

http://thegreatgeekmanual.com/images/humor/motivational/december/motivational-poster-mmorpg.jpg

The problem is, not many MMORPG programs come free. Often, you’d have to pay for the game, if not the monthly subscription, to avail of some playing hours you could spend in leveling up and beating the challenges that will presented before you. But this causes even more complications. A majority of MMORPG systems, you see, would require a lot of hours before you could achieve prominence in their virtual world. You will have to spend time – lots of it, in fact – before your peon can become a knight, or before your apprentice could become a full-fledged magic user.

http://www.gameogre.com/reviewdirectory/upload/Worlf%20of%20Kung%20Fu.jpg

And with MMORPG programs, time often comes at a cost – in dollars more than in sweat, blood and tears.

So a lot of devout gamers have searched far and wide for free MMORPG programs that are worth their commitment. But let’s face it, most of the MMORPG programs that don’t charge a fee… well… to put it bluntly, they suck. They’re either works of amateurs or commercial undertakings that were poorly made and failed to sell in the global market.
